I said this the first time around, and I'll say it again. I'm glad they picked someone who isn't a US celebrity, and solely that.

Liza and Diana WERE big in their day in the US, but nowadays? Not so much here, let alone the rest of the world. MAC is an international company, yet most of their releases are designed to be marketed towards and appeal to an American and White audience. I wish they would choose someone from India personally.

Also, MAC appeals to a large age range. Just becuase Catherine doesn't appeal/isn't well known to the twenty-something crowd doesn't mean she won't be a great icon. My mother is VERY excited, as am I. Catherine is a great spokesmodel, particularly for the VASTLY overlooked older demographic. MAC has few products and formulas which work with older skin, yet their motto is to be all inclusive.

Honestly, Liza and Diana are questionable at this point as icons. Some of their life decisions have removed them from such titles in my opinion.
