We're having a . . .
It’s official . . . we’re having a boy! The doctor’s visit went extremely well. I, along with the baby, are both measuring well. He’s 11 oz. & is 6 to 9 inches long – about the size & weight of a full coke can, says the sonographer. Bobby says that I’m going to be ‘boy-trapped’ when the baby’s born. I wouldn’t have it any other way =) Dave’s already saying that next time we’ll have a girl. Next time! Haha, & I haven’t even HAD this one yet. Oh well, I guess my boys have got plans for me, lol.
All of the internal organs (including a perfect 4-chamber heart) are functioning well & his heartbeat was excellent. While she was doing the 3D images, he was wriggling around so much the images came out blurry. I think he must have known we were all watching. He would put his hands by his face like he was shy. However, when she would look down below & his boy bits…all that shyness was sure gone. He wanted everyone to see what he was, lol. Little exhibitionist!
We’ve decided upon Riley David Touchton as his name. Bobby has my first name as his middle name, so Dave wanted to continue our little impromptu tradition. We are all very excited & glad that the baby’s doing well. I know Bobby wanted a little sister very much, so I was a bit apprehensive for his reaction. In the car ride home he said that he felt like crying. Dave & I asked why…he said it was because he was ‘so so so happy he was going to have a little brother!’. *whew* He said at breakfast today that he was even going to write about it in his daily journal assignment!
So…all is well & I’m proud to report about my little baby Riley. Thanks for reading & keeping us in your thoughts & prayers. Here’s to happily being “boy-trapped”!
