Hey All! If any of you out there are lurking from Indy or nearby,. the Pro Tour Event for Sweetie Cake at the Nordstroms downtown is now booking,. the manager of the MAC counter Clint has started calling all the Beau attendees from last year. They will have MU App,.. Refreshements, Food (last year they had MAC mini waters,.. and MAC cookies,.. and a veggie beef tray and cake), last year they gave out product info,.. real facecharts,.. samples,..the fee to attend is 100% redeemable in product (I think it may be $40, I am such an addict I didnt even ask) and the Beau event last year was great,.. lots of interesting stuff,.. and then afterwards you go downstairs (this event is in a private room) and get your MU done with the new stuff. It is a great time!


They do it twice,.. one at 11a and at 3p. (I booked for the 3p)
They fill up really fast and they keep the class small so if you are interested I would call pretty soon!

One of their best is MA's is Roger,..he is usually helping out for these events,.. Mostly women attend,.. but I think you would be welcome and it would be very helpful for your application,...I know there was at least one man at the Beau event session I attended there last year, I think everyone was so into the product, playing with it,..making notes on our little face charts, and eating,..a MAC induced Euphoria shared by all,...that it wouldnt even matter,...and I did meet another Specktra-ette there by accident and now we are "enabling" buddies and usually go to this stuff together. If you do decide to come to the same session please say Hi!

Maybe i missed this in the OP, but what day is the event? If it's a weekend, I'd would definitely try to go. I was sad i didnt go to the Beau event last year.

I'm going to one this saturday in Maryland. It is being taught by the MD MAC trainer. I can't wait. I have a refund check coming from school this week, which I guess is a good and bad thing...lol.

I signed up for the event @ my local (well not so local) Nordstrom, but she said it would be $75 (redeemable in products), hopefully it's worth it. I've never been to an event @ a counter before, I've only been to preview nights @ pro/freestanding stores.

ETA: I changed the location cause it was for this Fri. and I wouldn't be able to make it. So now I'm going on the 15th (right after Sweetie Cakes) and @ this other Nordies it's $50.

IndyEMSkitten and I met at the Beau event last year and I would say that it was worth it,..nice tips,. cool little stuff at the tables,..the MU afterwards. We will surely be spending way more than $54 dollars,.. that is about 2 piggies and the quad,..Racking up that much at MAC is not hard. Good way to meet other junkies,.. have a good time,.. and enable your addiction all at once.

I went to my event yesterday at Norstroms in Annapolis. It was just a pro tour where the MD MAC trainer came and taught techinques. It was pretty much basic stuff that I've learned here...product info, make up application, etc. Not what I expected or told it was at all. There were NO PRO PRODUCTS!!!!! The counter manager said that "usually" they are sent pro products but they didn't get any this year :/ Anyway, I still got my face done and I bought stuff which I would have done anyway. I guess it was okay. And there were no NEW PRODUCTS or COLLECTIONS. This was at the event went to, others could be different.

Oh, and there were no "MAC junkies". Most were pretty new to MAC so they were asking basic questions. I wish I had Specktra.net cards to hand out...lol.
