I prefer the performance of PP to paints, but not so much I'd switch over. It's a great product, but I loathe the packaging. It may not be as messy as MAC's paint tube and it IS cute to look at, but it's bulky for what it is and it's opaque so you have no idea how much product you're getting when you buy it or how much you have left. It doesn't last me as long as a tube of paint does either. I didn't use very much, but a bottle lasted me maybe 3-4 months where as a tube of paint can last me about a year even if I have a goof where excess product shoots out and is wasted. And since PP seems to be always out of stock, it's a problem if I run out fairly often! It's hard to use up what may be left in the bottle too when you can't see where in the bottle traces may remain.
All and all, I feel the paints (or a shadestick) are a better value, so even though I'd rate the performance and actual product of PP as excellent, I won't repurchase.
