Color...
I had someone ask me the other day about wearing color and how I choose my shades. I told her that I'll wear just about anything. I see color as color and rock it however/whenever I want. I don't put something on my skin and say "OMG this looks terrible" I say "ok, now what other colors can I use with this." I guess I just think that any and every color can be used in some way, shape or form.

So now I'm just wondering what everyone else does... how do you see color and how do you choose your e/s shades?

Re: Color...
I agree, I'll wear whatever color I damn well please. I'm a redhead, and I was raised thinking that I couldn't wear colors like pink or orange, because it would clash with my hair. Totally not true. Even when things do clash a little bit, I figure "Oh well!" and carry on knowing that it's fine.

Unfortunetly, my best friend is under the impression that so many colors don't 'work' right on her. I keep trying to tell her otherwise, but she's soooo set in her ways. Like, remember that line of thought from the 80s or even earlier, where you could only wear certain colors depending on your skin tone...like, you could only wear autumn shades or spring shades. Yeah, she's totally stuck that way.

I figure, makeup shouldn't be limiting!

Re: Color...
ITA with you both. i rock em all. i dont discriminate. lol.. however, there are some circumstances where i when i wont wear a certain color. for example, during the winter, i just dont have the urge to bust out my chrome yellow. lol... maybe its just me, winter always puts me in a "dark e/s" mood. but yea.. i havent found an e/s whose color or texture is impossible to work with.

Re: Color...
Pretty much everyone can wear any color imaginable, it just depends on the specific shade. Like I can wear pinks, but I can't wear really light pink, for instance, particularly on my lips.

I play around with my makeup. I favor purples, browns, coppers, and grays for my eyes, but I do wear a variety and in many combinations. I prefer shimmery shades to matte or glitter.
