talk to me about primer....

ive never used a primer before. ive heard good things about fix+ and the smashbox one. i dunno, i guess the idea of having another layer of something on my face just doesn't sound appealing.

do they work? is it worth it? do they feel heavy on skin?

According to the companies that sell primers, primers are suppose to make your foundation last much more longer and allow the foundation to be applied easier. The primers themselves usually dry into your skin, and it's not as heavy. I'd look into one. Most people rave and rant about Prep + Prime Skin by MAC and Smashbox Photo Finisher. Both are exceptionally well primers. Ask for a sample at MAC (make sure you apply your primer with a brush, like the 190), and get the travel size of the Smashbox primer to test these primers out for yourself.

I like Laura Mercier primer or the new one by Lorac called Aqua Prime.
