Benefit: That Gal! (primer/illuminator)
Overall Rating: /4
Price [Value]: 3
Packaging Quality: 4
Would you buy this product again? Yes, I think so.

General Comments on this product:

A skin brightener and primer that can be used under foundation or alone, I was skeptical about the product until I tried it in Sephora. Love it. LOVE.
My experience with brighteners has been limited to products that almost give a reflective quality to the skin, which isn't always desirable. Disco-ball effects are not hot.
One would think that That Gal! would give the user a pinkish tint, based on the color of the product, but once on, it's surprisingly colorless, and gives you a pretty 'glow' without creating shine.
The twist for product container is fantastic, and allows for lots of control over how much product is used.
At $26 dollars it's a bit pricey, though less expensive than Smashbox's Photofinish Primer, but all in all, well worth it.

General Comments on this product:

This is promoted as a brightener rather than primer in the Benefit catalog, but the Benefit SAs seem to prefer using this as a primer rather than brightener. But I digress. This gives a nice glow, and despite the pink tint, it's essentially clear on my skin. It had a nice cool effect (not to be confused with menthol; just "cool" in general), but the lasting powder was not that great. The SA applied this underneath the stick foundation, and it lasted about an hour or so before the foundation started slipping off my skin (I do have combo skin, but most primers last 4-5 hours on my skin).

The packaging is great, though! It has a click mechanism that will deposit a certain amount per click. Although it's pretty expensive, two clicks is enough for my whole face.
