Let me first start by saying this is NOT an instant lip plumper or something to bring out the color in your lips like DuWop Venom. Nor does this product claim to be like that in anyway. Here is what is says on Sephora:
I can honestly say I do not see any "instant" results as far as fuller lips. I do get softer lips after just one night. After using this for about nine months I have been very pleased. After the first week my lips looked fuller. My guess is they look fuller because the dead skin cells have been removed fast and my lips look full due to them having all the moisture they need.
This product is tingle free but I can say that a few times I felt a slight tingle at night. Not a burning tingle like Venom. It is more on the outter line around my lips. This might be due to the Nighttreamt coming in contact with the Retin-A I use everyother night. It doesn't happen all the time and it doesn't last but maybe 3 minutes. I am not totally sure what the cause of the small tingle might be but I find out I will update this review.
Since I have been using City Lips Nighttreamt I have noticed that even lipstick or lipgloss that would usually dry out my lips does not. The very fine lines around my lips look filled in and that makes my lips look fuller too. This is not a dramatic result but it is enough for me to continue using this product. Not so much for the fullness but just for the softness. Overall I am very pleased with the Nighttime treatment and can't wait to try the colors.
