Fiberwig Mascara
Overall rating: 5

Price: 4.5

Package Quality: 4

Would you buy again: Yes

Bought this product out of curiosity. Its a huge seller at Ala Moana, Sephora in Hawaii. It is ichi ban in Japan. This is the first time I have ever wiped mascara off my eyebrows!!! Freak show lashes. I wear contacts, too. No flaking into my contacts. Once I washed the stuff off my eyebrows, it was awesome. It has fibers- I kept letting them dry and re working just the tips-till I hit my eyebrows. Took a while. (maybe 20 minutes). Dries slow. Came off with cream makeup remover. ( I used Yes to Carrots)

I did curl my lashes first. I know some people use mascara after, as well.... I also tried with Maybelline XXL primer, combed my lashes, and use Maybelline waterproof over the entire project and went out and stood in a storm. Eyelashes intact! (We had 3 weeks nonstop storms here in Hawaii.)

This is an stellar mascara. Its made by a company called Imju.

General Comments on this product: Bought it because of all the hype and rave reviews. Nothing special, for me... It made my eyelashes look crunchy and clumped together like crazy. It lengthened them (not much more than other ones I've use, though) but made them look so unnatural and spidery.. I never finished the tube, just bought a different mascara :x

Would you buy this product again? No, no, no!!!

Oh dear. I really thought this would work for me because it's a hit in Japan where all the Asian girls are at, and I generally LOVE Japanese mascaras anyhow.

Price was alright (I hear it's pricey at Sephora), but I got it for $98HKD, which comes to about $13USD.

Oh boy, I tried this and I absolutely HATED IT! I always curl my lashes before applying mascara, and sometimes I go out with just curled lashes. I don't have a problem with holding a curl (even without any mascara own) like most other Asian girls do and I consider myself to be lucky.

However, putting Fiberwig mascara on top of my beautifully Shiseido-curled lashes just...made them fall completely flat, even straighter than my originally, uncurled lashes. So it's a complete waste if you have added length to your lashes from the fibers if you can't even see it because your lashes are stick-straight!

No other mascara has ever done this to me before, and that seriously makes me shocked. I've never been a mascara aficionado, thinking they all performed pretty similarly, but this mascara has made me in a believer of bad mascaras.

But I have spent my money on this already, so I think Fiberwig would be a good mascara on top of another one that doesn't completely obliterate the curl in my lashes. And it's really easy to remove (just use some warm water and it slides right off).

This was horrible. Would never, EVER repurchase again.

If you're one who's more into a natural look during the day and yet want some POW from your lashes, this is IT. I for one LOVE IT. It lengthens like no tomorrow and yet still looks like there's no mascara. Doesn't smudge at all, and the fibers come off limply easily with warm water (with cold water it takes a bit more effort). With it, I was able to extend my lashes to twice its original length, seriously!! I got it to lift, hold the curl and stay in place without having to use a mascara base. I got it cheap too, there's this website based in HongKong which sources from Japan, and they sell it for $12 which is almost $10 cheaper than in Sephora. This is definitely for short lashed gals. The only thing I didn't like was the fibers get 'disturbed' when using another mascara on top of it, so i guess its better as a finished. Otherwise, it's awesome.
