Philosophy - The present (primer)
Overall Rating: 5
Price: 5 - pricey, but totally worth every penny
Packaging Quality: 5 - personal preference but I love their packaging
Would you buy this product again: YES!
General comments on this product: I was slightly skeptical of this actually being a glorified sunscreen. I happened to receive some gift certificates recently so I decided to take a chance. I used a sponge to apply just a few dabs of it on my face and waited the 2m it says to wait before applying more makeup. I felt my face and there was a smoother texture to it than before! I used philosophy - the supernatural airbrush canvas in Beige to finish my face and it came out AMAZING. The scent is very nice and the "bang for the buck" factor is waaaay up there. =)

General Comments on this product: Upon purchasing this product, I was totally torn between this and Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer. In the end, I bought both. But I have to say, I am in love with this one! However, I am still skeptical about all primers in general. While it does help your makeup go on a lot smoother, I don't notice any difference in how long my makeup stays on. It does even out my skin though. I also happen to love the lavender scent too. Yep, I can't leave home without it! Highly recommended.

After I dropped my Smashbox primer and it shattered.
I knew that i couldn't breakdown and purchase it again for fear of my daughter getting into the glass. I figured that since I already own and advocate most of the Philosophy collection, I would give the present a try. It's wonderful and if there was a way to rate the messages that are on the outside of every Philosphy product, it would be a 10!

General comments on this product: I have been fortunate enough to try alot of the primers out there (smashbox, sephora, tarte, lorac, mac, bare escentuals, vincent longo etc.) and i defenitly have to say that The Present by philosophy is my favorite... Unlike most of these dimethicone based primers The present has a very pleasant smell as well as a wonderful smooth texture. I like that it is in a squeeze bottle rather than a pump like most primers.. Alot of the pump primers clump up half way through the bottle and you miss out on most of the primer! I defenitly like the presents staying power and recommend it highly..
