i'm sick of oily lids, UD PP works well for me but Paints still crease on me and i want to help mattify my eye lids so that they work better on me and don't crease as much. I've done it before and it has helped but i'm worried doing this regularly might be bad for the delicate eye lid skin?
The moisturiser i have right now is Enzymion by Lush and is for oily skin and it really works on the face.

Generally I would say that trying to mattify the lid might irritate the skin, since the skin around the eye area is very thin and delicate. Plus the moisturizer you're using has papaya and lemon juice in it which are like exfoliants (they are acids) so probably will dry it out too much or irritate it.. You don't want to dry out the eyelid, trust me! I say just use the UD PP, since paints crease. I have super oily lids and it works great!

Thanks, i knew it would be a silly thing to do as the eye area is so thin but i was hoping that just maybe it might be ok!
I'll have to carry on using UD PP but it works a little toooo well in that it makes eye shadow look chalkier in comparison to Paints and it is hard to blend colours.

Do you wipe your eyelids with toner? I do this when they are very oily so as to lessen it. Since I've been using eye serum & cream at night, they seem to be much less oilier than they used to be. But they do have their bad days!

Not sure if you've heard of it, but lately, I've been using Jurlique's lavender face powder which you dust very gently onto face to eliminate oil. I doubt it would hurt to pat a tiny amount on lids. It smells lovely and keeps my face free of oil slickness for up to 12 hours. It's great stuff.

before you start doing your eyes pat them w/ Clean & Clear's oil blotting sheets, when I do this I dont crease all day.

Thanks for the suggestions, i'll look into them. I think the toner idea sounds convenient..would i need to get a strong toner for oily skin? I don't have oily skin on my face so only have gentle cleansers and i don't use toner but have one for sensitive/dry skin around somewhere.

I always look out for the C&C Blotting sheets but so far i've never seen them in the UK and i don't want to buy any expensive ones.

I think the toner idea sounds REALLY harsh for your delicate eye area. Most toners are really astringent and contain alcohol -- and generally have warnings to avoid using them in the eye area.

That being said, I have the same problem… and this is what I do:

I don't wear foundation, just the occasional concealer -- so I wash my fash, apply moisturizer (I use clinique DDM Gel) and then in a few minutes, I blot my forehead and lids gently with mac's blotting powder. This doesnt leave powder anywhere, it literally blots it. You could also use a soft, fluffy clean face brush that would work very well for this -- just dust lightly over your lids before paints.
