where do u place ur camera 2 take ur pictures?

im cool with the whole settings thing i just need help actually taking a good full-face picture, like do u use ur zoom and timer and stand back from ur cam to get a headshot or do u hold ur cam out in front of u or do u place it on top of something with ur timer and stand right in front of it?

i hope this makes sense

I just do it hand held, I don't use the zoom or anything. I do have a tripod but for FOTDs I don't use it.

I usually just hold it in my hand and take the snap. But then again i also place it on anything really that makes it stand then i stand by my wall to take a full picture.
