My face has recently undergone a HORRID transformation from supple, beautiful, and flawless skin to a lumpy, puffy, dry surface... Why? I had an allergic reaction to SOMETHING.

I recently started using Olay Regenerist Night cream because the face wash and mini-peel were giving me spectacular results in keeping my skin so smooth, even, and moisturized.

Around the same time, I got the Bare Escentuals BareMinerals starter kit, along with a couple other Bare Escentuals items shortly after I saw how lovely the makeup made me look.

I've been using the BareMinerals longer than the face cream, which leads me to believe it would be the face cream, but the other Regenerist products from Olay worked so well for me. In addition, I did notice a little bit of itching with BareMinerals from day one, but it didn't give me this kind of reaction (however it is said that the more you expose yourself to something you are allergic to, the more allergic you become).

As soon as m face heals (its been three days and its looking much better now though not all the way back to normal), I'd like to wear makeup once again, but should I be using BareMinerals? What would you recommend to test? Maybe a patch around the ear area?

I'd say don't use the BareMinerals. Mineral make up, though it's healthier, doesn't work for everybody, so don't ruin your beautiful skin!

The same thing happened to me, only I was using Everyday Minerals and my skin seemed like it exploded with breakouts. I would definitely try switching foundations and see if that helps. If I were you, I would stop using both products you suspect and then introduce the Olay product back in slowly to pinpoint the cause of your reaction.

Bareminerals has Bismuth Oxychloride, which many women are allergic to and can cause bad breakouts and reactions. Maybe it's that? :/ I really hope you find out so your skin can get better!

Do a patch test on your inner arm. Put BE in one area and the Olay in another, the guilty party should give you a rash.
