no, that's why if you're at MAC and they're using it on you, they have to use a spatula to take out a small amount. Sorry :/

i wouldn't recommend buying this off someone to avoid possible eye infection and sharing of bacteria. I would go to your nearest mac location, get a sample of the one you've been thinking about, and if you like it, buy it. They're only 13.50

Perhaps I was not good for doing it, but I actually sterilised a metal spoon, and scooped out the slightly used bit from a fluidline I swapped for. Almost the entire surface is untouched, except for the small dip. I was thinking also of spraying it with alcohol too, like you I never swap for stuff like this but I was pretty careful to check the condition of the fluidline. Hope it'll be ok.

Depending on how mashed up the surface is, take a sterilised spoon or spatula and remove the top 3 mm or so, then mist the remainder with surgical spirit. It's not ideal - wet eye products should never, *ever* be shared - but it's a workable temp fix.

Thanks for that Lara - that sounds excellent. Thankfully, the one I have wasn't too mashed up on the surface. I haven't used it yet but will definitely mist it with spirits.

Not MAC, but I did once get 2 BB gel e/l that had been sanitized with alcohol. The entire top surface. They still worked wonders, but dried out faster. I wouldn't recommend doing that. I now shudder that I actually got these! I would only get brand-new ones, or ones that had been tested maybe 1-2x max in one corner that I can scoop out.
