I'd like to know if the new pigments are eye safe. Thx!

My Entremauve had an insert in the box that said it was not lip safe.

I ordered 2 entremauves and 1 subtle pigment from maccosmetics.com. The entremauves had inserts ("Caution: Not for use in lip area"). The subtle pigment had no insert.

What do you think of "Entremauve?" I haven't bought it, but I did get one "Subtle," and hope to get another.

Let me start out w/a history lesson: In the 70s purple shadow was sooo popular. Although I found several purples I loved, I was allergic to the dye and my eyes always turned watery and red – no matter how cheap or expensive the brands were. Then in 2005, I decided to try purple again and bought NARS’ Santorini – no allergic reaction but a nightmare to work with…It drags across the eye and does not blend at all! I use UDPP and a CCB and nothing helps this! Then I tried NARS’ swing (cream eyeshadow – creases every time I’ve worn it – UDPP or any base does not help this!)

Neither NARS’ santorini, swing or anyone else’s shadow have the richness, depth and texture of entremauve! This piggie is unbelievable! I just read this thread today about wearing it wet: http://www.specktra.net/showthread.php?t=58183. I can’t wait to try it and subtle wet both as shadows and liners. I know everyone compares subtle to sunnydaze, coco and similar piggies/shadows, but I like it because it has a subtle sheen and not a loud shine or sparkle. The only shadow I didn’t buy from the Nocturnelle collection was beauty sleep and kitschmas (already had).

Both subtle/entremauve are a dream to work with – they blend and wear so well – had both on about 14 hrs one day – I was amazed when I looked in the mirror before washing my face to see my eye MU looked like I had just applied it! This is my first year knowing about the MAC “Holiday” collections and I am well pleased so far. The Holiday/Formal Black eye palettes are to die for…. But if I had to choose the “winner” of either collection, entremauve would be it for me….

I was reading another thread about insuring MAC…..I thought about taking one of my entremauves to work to store….I’m just that paranoid I’ll never find another again!!!

My Entreemauve did not have the insert in it about being unsafe for lips, but I bought mine at the local MAC store on the very day they introduced (I was invited to the private MAC party). I'm wondering if the initial boxes of Entreemauve that were produced didn't have it, but the next production batch did? That would make sense, don't you think?
