foundation on lips?

Is it safe to put foundation (liquid) on lips? I tried this yesterday to neutralize the color of my lips. It worked, but I was just really worried about ingesting foundation (Gross) lol.

I couldn't find a thread about this and I vaguely remember hearing about other people who do this too, but I just wanted to make sure if it was safe or not... By the way, I use the mac liquid mineralize skinfinish spf foundation

Don't know if it's technically safe, but I do it with no problems.

Just make sure your lips are moisturized (or else they'll just look gross and peel-y), then put on foundation, and then a nude lip gloss
