Individual False Lashes safety?
Hello lovely ladies and gents,

I recently purchased the following products:

I applied them all yesterday using , and I love the way they look, but my safety questions regarding these lashes are as follows:

1) Can I sleep/shower/swim in these lashes? How safe are they?

2) I am a contact lenses wearer. Does this put me at risk for safety while wearing these lashes (like extra bacteria getting in my eyes)?

3) How long should I wear these lashes?

I just don't want anything to happen to my eyes

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Individual False Lashes safety?
1. The lashes are only meant to be worn for one day/evening. Sleeping in them is not recommended. A nap is fine, no overnight snoozes, though.

2. If you notice irritation, consider another glue (latex-based may not be for you) or discontinue use.

3. With proper cleaning, the lashes can be worn a few times if the hairs remain in tact and they are stored after each use.

Re: Individual False Lashes safety?
Thank you so much for your information!

Is there any way I could possibly wear my lashes to sleep, or any product I can use that would be safe for the eyes? I've heard of girls sleeping and swimming in their lashes, as well as showering. I thought this was just kind of a convenience to have aside from strip lashes - something I could wear daily w/o having to worry about them and just being careful when I would shower or sleep. I just would hate having to put them in all day, take them out at the end of the day, and then reapply in the morning

anyway, thanks again!

Re: Individual False Lashes safety?
maybe you are looking for a product like eyelash extensions? they attach them to the ends of your natural eyelashes and well its like having the falsies only that those last longer (like weeks to months) you can sleep in those but they are rather expensive...

Re: Individual False Lashes safety?
I did research eyelash extensions, but those are just out of my range in price at the moment. They are about 200-300 dollars, and I just can't afford that! So I thought that individual extensions would be much cheaper, and once I learned how to apply them I could just keep touching them up for weeks.

And yes! Thanks so much! I am glad you found that video, because that was what I was thinking - the lashes would fall out with your own, and last about 4-5 weeks. Of course I'll have to touch them up on occasion. But that is what I was expecting.

Do you think you could elaborate on what you mean by this? I am talking about individual false lashes, not eyelash extensions. If this is the case, I am a little scared. I tried not to apply the lashes directly onto my own, and I feel like if I use the lash-free remover it will not harm my lashes as much.

An update ladies: It's been 3 days and my individual falsies are still in so I hope that they will last a while, I have been extremely careful not to rub my eyes however. It is a hassle, but I am willing to undergo it for the way they make my eyes look! I am so happy with them!

Re: Individual False Lashes safety?
I've heard too many horror stories about eyelash extensions (the ones attached to your natural lashes) to try them. Falsies are much more fun, anyway!! Also - if you want a natural yet dramatic look just buy eyelashes and cut them in half then use the outer half for your eyes. E.L.F.'s eyelashes for 1$ are actually really good/natural for that purpose...

The salon I go to has eyelash extensions that could be worn for a week for $20, judging the price and wear time, could this be different from the eye lash extensions that are damaging I was contemplating get these, but now am scared :/

Don't forget to soak your false eyelashes in an eyelash cleaning solution, before you put them again.

Re: Individual False Lashes safety?
I use lashtite adhesive for individual lashes and I am quite happy with it. I never sleep in false lashes - I had one fall off and it looked like a spider on my pillow in the morning (scared the crap out of the BF! lol). I find it hard to remove your eye makeup at the end of the day and still have them look good.
