Mascara questions.
I have a question about mascaras and their shelf life.

I wear my mascara maybe twice a week at the very most and I know they have a shelf life of only 3 months. Which means Im shelling out $30 every 3 months for a new one that Im not even 1/3rd of the way through.

So, I was wondering, would using a disposable applicator, and never doubble dipping it, extend the shelf life at all? Or is it one of those things where the minuite its exposed to air its pretty much on that 3 month count down?

Thanks

ok ... so you acutally raise some very valid questions. We recommend that everyone change there mascara after 3 months of regular use for many reasons ... drying out, clumps, even just freshness because of bacteria ... you all know how germ-a-phobe we all are. To be honest with you ... dipping disposible wands will actually shorten the life of your mascara because you are introducing more air to it then just the intial open and pull out. My recommendation ... as being one who does not follow most of the rules with mascara for me personally ... just watch your mascara. By that I mean, use it past the three month mark since you are not wearing it everyday it should be fine. It is not once you open it a time bomb starts ticking ... it is just to keep it nice and fresh and for the mascara to work properly we recommend not going more than three months without replacing.

Hell, Kiss Me is $24 or $25 and the ever-popular DiorShow is about the same. I must admit, I don't toss mascara after 3 mos., but I don't keep it much longer....It gets hard and dry by 4-5 mos.
