This actually just happened to me last week. It was pretty terrible...and my own fault. I sprayed a shot of hairspray directly into my open eye (how does that happen??? Even I don't know, and I'm the one who did it!!). I rinsed it out, but a couple of hours later I noticed that the skin by my tear duct was really sore. An hour after that, I felt a lump forming underneath the skin right there, right by my tearduct.
Thankfully, my guy remembered that he had gotten a splinter under his eyelid a few months ago (don't ask) and in the ER, they gave him antibiotic eye drops. I used them right away...and it got better after 24 hours. But to be honest...it hurt and bothered me enough I'd hate to find out what it'd have been like had I not had antibiotic drops right there, and had to wait to get in to see a dr. for a prescription.
I /do/ use fluidline on my waterlines...based on a ton of recommendations from this site, actually...because I couldn't find anything else that would stick there. While I'm a little dismayed that it's not actually recommended for use there...I'll likely keep using it like lots of you out there, since it's not that often I tightline. I'm not at all keen on trying the liquid lasts to tightline, though I do wish someone would come out with some liners that really work on the waterline and are safe for use there!
