Are the new Liquid Lasts safe for use on the waterlines??
I was wondering before I bought them, otherwise i'm just going to use fluidline.

they aren't....actually fluidline isn't supposed to be used on the waterline either... anything with long-wearing properties isn't safe for the waterline. We've had numerous discussions about this at update and at our counter. There has been some info that fluidlines are safe, but the latest word is that they are not approved for the waterline. Hope this helps. If anyone else has any other info, I'd love to know, too.

Liquid liner in all forms is a lid product only.

The risk of infection, irritation, chemical burns or other irritants are exceedingly high when water- or alcohol-based liners are applied to mucus mebranes or positioned in contact with the eyeball. The liquid consistancy and long drying time make them particularly unsuitable for the wet rim around the eye.

Thanks. I was asking because online in the descriptions for the Sweetie Cake sparkle liners as well as the previous Glitter liners, it explicitly states "Not for use on inner rims" but it doesn't say that for any other liner product. I asked at the MAC store tonight but my girl said she wasn't sure but that she wouldn't, just to be safe.

Thanks ladies.

liquidlast on inner rims?
I was reading a review on MUA and one person said she used it on her inner rims and it lasted for 24 hours, longer than Blacktrack did on her. I'm guessing she used a different brush though. Has anyone tried this? I'm dying to know if this is true!

ouch. I tried with my Fuschia-ism and it really stung. Although none of M.A.C.'s products are tested or recommended for the waterline, liquidlasts are the worst on me. i've had no problem with the powerpoints, khols, or fluidlines.

When I purchased mine, the MA warned me that it was definitely not for use on the waterline, so i'm not even going to attempt it, or even use it anywhere near my waterline. My suggestion would be to not try it, even if it lasts a long time.

Just the thought of the goopy thick liner clogging my tear ducts makes me well, I don't think it is a good idea. My MA warned me about the same thing. Especially since quite a few of them have sparkles or glitter bits in them.

I would be afraid as long lasting as these are, they would stain the waterline!

thanks for sharing this, as I have no pain tolerance anymore. I hate that brush it comes with and don't want it near my waterline anyways, but that just seals it for me!

For sure I would avoid the waterline- the ducts there are easily plugged and can cause a host of problems later on. Liquidlast is not good for that at all.

Fluidlines are about as water resistant as I would go.

I'd do fluidline also...I mean these things are already hard to get off and if it's on the waterline GOSH good luck!

Yeah plus you have to use an oil based cleanser to get them off (or olive oil) and I wouldn't want to put oil that close to my eye / membranes.

What exactly happens when a duct gets plugged?
