red glitter in beauty marked e/s?

I searched the forum for beauty marked and didn't see anything about it. the thread about the eye safety-ness of blushes reminded me of this though.

the red glitter in Beauty Marked eyeshadow....does that contain some kind of irritating red dye? what material is the glitter made of? I can't seem to wear it; I have some kind of reaction to it. I was curious if that happened to anyone else....? :confused:

Beauty Marked is a shadow known to cause problems with some individuals. This may be for a variety of reasons, including some of the dyes used in the shadow, or the size and type of the micas used to create the glitter effect in the shadow. As Beauty Marked is actually not a black or gray shadow, but rather a very deep, black red-based tone, most likely culprit of these reactions are to the red colorant in the shadow base.

thanks for the reply! now it'll be in here for the future if anyone searches the form for "beauty marked"!

i figured it was a dye, and not the glitter itself. black tied doesn't give me the same irritation. now i'm glad to know for certain.

a lot of people are allergic to red dyes! that must be it!
