sweetie cake glitter pencils
i searched the forum and didn't see this. sorry if it's been asked already, but does anyone know what the glitter in the sweetie cake glitter pencils is made of? paper, plastic, something else? and of course that leads me to, is it eye safe?

thanks :D

Softsparkle pencils are NOT safe for use on the waterline, due to the glitter they contain. They can be used to line the eye in a normal manner however- above the upper lashline, and below the lower lashline.

ok, thanks i guess i should have been more clear, since of course it's "eye safe" as an eye pencil. but since it doesn't have a binder like a glitter liner does, is it more likely to accidentally have the glitter fall into your eye? that's why i was concerned about the material used to make the glitter....if it's made of paper then it wouldn't be a big deal.

my eyes seem to be sensitive to a lot of stuff lately, so i want to be extra careful. but the pencils are so pretty!

I'm looking into the material that the glitter particles are made from, and will let you know when I have an answer.

Well, I wore mine all day and the glitter stayed put. Nothing went into my eye, and nothing dropped onto my cheeks. It seems that whatever was used to make the pencil solid, must be holding the glitter in place too?

What is the glitter made of? I'm wondering if this is safe to use for contact lens
wearers?

I'm not sure what the glitter is made of, but I've worn it with my contacts every time I've used them and I've had no complaints. The only thing I'd warn or is if you rub your eyes, thus loosening the sparkles (and smudging your line) and creating the chance for the sparkles to get in your eye/on your contact. It's happened a couple of times to me - again, when I rubbed my eye - and the sparkle felt like a bit of dust would or a mascara flake (I don't use one that does anymore, phew!). I just rinse off the contact if that happens. HTH some!

I even put my contacts in after I applied my eyeliner (which you're not supposed to do) and I had no problems, and I haven't had any problems or anything all day with glitter getting into my eyes

They are safe for contact lens wearers, however they are not advised for use on the waterline (for obvious reasons- glitter)
