Beauty Powders & MSFs... I need help!
Can somebody tell me how you use the Beauty Powders and MSFs and what brush to use? I know they are highlighters but I have never used them before and not sure what to do.

I have the 2 Barbie Beauty Powders.

MSFs: Pleasureflush, Petticoat, Porcelain Pink, Glissade, & Lightscapade.

I have been using Lightscapade on my cheeks a little but it doesn't show up on me. I don't know if I am using the wrong brush.

Thanks in advance.

Depending on the color of the product and your own skintone, you can either use them as blush or highlighter. Lightscapade is IMO not made to visibly tint your skin like a foundation or a blush, but to give a soft glow without adding a lot of color. maybe thats the reason you dont see any color when you look straight in the mirror. you can find a very helpful description about where to place highlighter/contouring on your face in the FAQ subforum.

Most people like to use the 187 brush with their MSF's and I also use it for the Beauty powders. Of course you can also use a normal powder or blush brush.

Re: Beauty Powders & MSFs... I need help!
I use a kabuki (like the 182) for Lightscapade all over my skin, as a sort of finishing powder. It gives me a little glow and looks really nice!

As for the colored ones, I use them as blushes, both MSFs and Beauty Powders. I use the Mark bronzer/blush brush to apply them, it's sort of like the MAC 187 - blunt-ended and dense. I apply them in a buffing type of motion so they don't look streaky and apply to the apples of my cheeks. The more shimmery ones I use a lighter hand on. Shooting Star I use as a bronzer and so apply it in the shape of a "w" across my cheeks starting at one ear, going down across my cheekbones (where the sun would naturally hit) and then up over the nose and down across the other cheekbones.

I hope that helps! Just play around with it - the great thing about makeup is there are no rules and you can do what you think makes you look great and you feel good about!
