black tied e/s and silver ring e/s.. help!

hi i just bought black tied e/s and silver ring e/s in an attempt to have nice smokey eyes! this is my technique.. it looks alright but how do you think it can be improved? ALL suggestions welcome! thankyou!

*Apply beige neutral eyeshadow all over eye

*Apply silver ring e/s all over lid

*Blend black tied e/s half way across crease, in the outer v and lined under the eye

It looks ...i dunno! sorta sloppy and just not beautiful like all you girls do it haha. heeellpp!

Consider getting a smudge brush to blend black tied along the eyeline.. I do simple smokey eyes by starting with black tied near the eyeline, then dab silver ring on lid, blending upwards for black tied to blend into the lid lightly. Q tips are awesome for smudging and wiping unnecessary colors off! good luck!
