HI~~
I'm looking for a nudie lip color for my naturally pigmented lips~~
My lips often look very red
I hate that so much, especially when I'm wearing more intense eye makeup...

For reference, I'm a NC20~25 and there's a pic of me in my profile~~

But I've tried to adjust the pic so that the lip color is pretty true~~

I don't like applying concealer on my lips,
becoz it often makes my lips really dry....
And I've tried MAC #Hug Me & VGV,
but I think the lustre formula doesn't work 4 me....
The redness of my natural lips always shows through the sheer lipsticks

I really wanna have a paler lip color!!
So plz rec me some lipstick or lipgloss which would make my lips look paler~~
Peach or pink or beige are all good~~

Hm, my lips are fairly pigmented naturally as well...Have you tried MAC's Myth at all? It's a very opaque, for me at least, skintone shade. Using it sheer will really tone down your lips, and works in a similar way as concealer in that respect, but won't dry out your lips.

And after applying Myth, I usually go over it with another lip color, such as Hue (my fave nude) or well...any other nude, haha. It will look more true after Myth.

For a real cheap sort of deal, I've used Bonne Bell's 'Vanilla Swirl' and 'Cappuccino' lip-lites. They're incredibly inexpensive, but I've been using them for a shiny nude sort of look since I was quite wee.

I hope that helps? To summarize, since I tend to ramble, Myth acts as a non-drying concealer, and a good base for more realistic nudes in my experience.

I've tried Myth in the freestand store once, by itself, it looked so much like a concealer on me. So that I didn't buy it....
Haha~I've never thought about using it as a base before applying another lipstick....lol

I liked it a lot too~~It looked quite natural and smells soooooo good

My lips look similar to yours, and I use and love Myth as well. I usually don't wear it alone (I look too washed out), but under a lipglass. I tone down my lips and see more of the true lipglass color.

Another lipstick that I really love is Brew - it's a beige without pink undertones and works well for me. It's a lustre formula but is less sheer (for me at least) than other lustres, and I can wear it by itself. It was LE but is coming out again with Smoke Signals - I recommend it!

MAC Creamola cremestick liner, High Tea lipstick, Springbean lustreglass. This is the combo I use to get a nude lip. It's a brownish, JLo nude. Sometimes, if my lips are really red, I'll fill in my lip with a little bit of Summerfruit cremestick liner too. Give it a try at the counter if you get a chance. The springbean really helps in cancelling out the red

Have you tried Blankety lipstick? I have it AND Hue and Blankety is really creamy...Hue is a glaze l/s so it's a little sheer and you'll need to top it with something, someone in a tut recommended Wonderstruck l/g over Hue, which I tried yesterday and it looked pretty good. I just tried Blankety with Young Spark l/g today and I love it

Yeah, I'd try Springbean. Don't be freaked out by the green though, green neutralizes red. But definitely try it on first (the beauty of MAC), since some people find it leaves their lips greenish. But your lips look quite pigmented so it shouldn't matter. If not...I say Myth with C-Thru on top. Definitely one of my all time faves, I feel like I can wear way crazier eye make-up when my lips are so nude. Good luck!
