Powders to set liquid foundation?
Hey ladies! I need some advice.

I am an NW15 and I use Studio Fix Fluid. I am looking for a good powder to set my liquid foundation. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone!

Nars Loose and Shu loose are very nice, with a fine soft texture.

How about the studio fix powder in your same shade?

Re: Powders to set liquid foundation?
I'm trying to stick with something from Mac, and I was planning to get the studio fix powder if I couldn't find anything else. I always see people from this site with the most gorgeous foundation and powder, so I figured I'd see what people recommend.

Thanks!

Re: Powders to set liquid foundation?
I just started wearing Studio Fix Fluid and I've been using my Studio Fix powder to set and it works fine. The MUA said I wouldn't need a powder to set it, but I prefer to use one. I'm planning on trying it with my MSF Natural to set.

Re: Powders to set liquid foundation?
I'm also an NW15 and I use Nars loose powder in Snow. I used to use MAC's select sheer loose powder, but I found it added to much colour to my skin and I ended up a nasty orange shade.

I usually prefer to stick with MAC too, but on me at least, the Nars powder just sets the foundation without building up colour or coverage.

Re: Powders to set liquid foundation?
I don't use Fix Fluid (I use Moistureblend) but I love MSF Natural over my foundation. I don't need extra coverage, but just a sheer veil of it over my foundation with a Kabuki gives me that airbrushed look. My MA said it makes my skin flawless. I'm just careful to blend well and not go heavy at all, to avoid the cakey look.

Re: Powders to set liquid foundation?
If you like Mac, try loose blot powder, loose powder is best imo for setting foundation, studio fix powder is nice on it's own, but it could appear heavy on top of foundation.

I always dust my pressed Blot Powder over SFF and the result is gorgeous!

Same here, including the powder shade. I'm going to have to open the container, dump in a lot of translucent powder and mix it to death before it becomes even remotely usable.

Re: Powders to set liquid foundation?
I don't advise using Studio Fix Powder on top of Studio Fix Fluid, unless you REALLY need the coverage, as the powder is a foundation on it's own.

If you want something from MAC, try the Blot Powder in Pressed or Loose. It's the only MAC powder I like.

Re: Powders to set liquid foundation?
thanks everyone! I'm sticking with pressed blot powder, which is what I used from the start. I might try loose blot powder one day, we'll see.

Thanks again!!

Just a suggestion, I love Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. It's an awesome loose powder!
