Lipstick: Strawberry Blonde (lustre, Icon: Catherine)
Overall Rating: 4
Price [Value]: 4
Packaging Quality: 5
Would you buy this product again? Yes, it if weren't LE.

This is a gorgeous, bright pink-coral and I was a bit sceptical at first thinking there was no way this would suit my NW20 pasty, yellow complexion but I was wrong. Could be my imagination, but it seems glossier and smoother to apply than my other lustre lipsticks (of which there are many) and I think it could be worn in any season except for when the sky is really grey, as it might be a tad too bright for then. Smashing item from the Icon 2006 collection.

I would have given this a 5 rating if it weren't limited edition.

This is one of those colors that I would not have considered buying, from looking at it. I tried it out purely because it was part of the Deneuve collection (consider me a fan), and didn't wear it all that much until now, a year later, as I was using up other lipsticks before.

It's fantastic! I doubt it would suit everyone; it's a distinctly warm color. It might end up a horrid bright orange on the wrong person. But if you can wear neutral-to-warm colors, it's a lovely, face-brightening shade...sheer deep coral pink. One of those lipsticks that work even if you're not wearing any other makeup. Natural, but not dull.

I've been pricing look-alikes for this, and the two nearest matches I've found were both over $20. So the MAC price is a good price (again, it would have been 5 for a permanent shade).

The packaging is a bit prettier than the standard black tube, with a gold finish rather than silver.

Would I buy this product again! Ohhhhh yes. As I say, I'm now considering a $22.50 lipstick just because it looks like Strawberry Blonde.
