General Comments on this product:
I love this shade, it is a very classic rosey pink. It looks really pretty with my skin tone, being fair.

I also love the slimshine's consistency; it is very creamy and soft on the lips. However, I found that for some reason with the slimshine, there is a weird contradiction (Note that I only have this shade in this formulation). This is because the l/s is so soft and creamy you'd think it would apply smoothly and evenly, but it doesn't. You get like a glob on your lips if you apply straight from the tube--it's almost too creamy/soft. Therefore, I just use a lip brush to apply this lipstick...but for the price, I would expect it to be easier in application.

I liked the idea of the slimmer tube for "on the go" easy application (without necessarily needing a mirror, for example), so this just didn't cut it for me.

General comments:
I really like the Slimshines, and Long Stem Rose is my favourite of all of them. The colour is a beautiful sheer dusty pink that I imagine would be flattering on many skintones, and it's sheer enough that it doesn't make my full, medium-pigmented lips look ginormous. HOWEVER it rubs off in about five seconds flat. Take a sip of coffee, say goodbye to lipstick. It's pretty enough that I'll keep repurchasing and reapplying it, but nontheless, a pain in the butt.

This is my first MAC lipstick and I'm in loooove. Seriously, I could barely feel these on my lips. The slimshines really love up to their name as a balm type colour. Though the glossiness does reduce their staying power, the colour, texture and feel are so gorgeous I couldn't really care less. I'm pretty pale but I think this colour would work on a lot of people.
