Foundation: Face and Body (liquid)

General Comments on this product:
Gives a nice long lasting dewy finish, never feels chalky like some other foundations, good for those wanting sheer coverage. Sadly has a short shelf life and therefore isn't hugely great value for money, as it comes in a large bottle, but generally goes bad before you finish it all.

I have been waiting to write a review for this because I don't want to jinx its fantasticness! I use this like a tinted moisturizer with a bit more coverage. I squeeze some onto a petri dish or the back of my hand and just use my fingers to smooth it on. I've used it with a foundation brush but since it is so light I find that the coverage isn't as good as just using your fingers. Seriously, it is amazing! Evens out my skintone and makes it looks dewy and fresh. It's long lasting and doesn't make me oily so I haven't had to blot for a while now!
Like the reviewer above, it never feels chalky and is good for those wanting sheer coverage. I don't know about it going bad, but since that's a concern I'm going to decant it into a little bottle and store the rest in a makeup fridge! ^_^ A mini fridge in my room for stuff like LUSH face things, scrub masks, cucumbers, FIX +!!!, Shu Depsea water, etc. hehe

I use F&B on photoshoots to even out skin on arms, legs, torsos and busts. It is a light, sheer coverage that doesn't rub off once set, although it can be extremely slow to dry when mixed with a luminiser. In a pinch it can be speedily set with a touch of powder.
For a bulk-use product, I find the price extremely high (AU$60). Given that an artist can easily go through their entire stock of product in an average busy working month, it can be a costly item to keep stocked. I would find it slightly better value-for-money if a range of pre-mixed luminised F&B was released.

I suffer from eczema, so that means my skin is very dry and sensitive, and flakes easily. I have been looking for a super moisturizing foundation forever--Face and Body is exactly that! It's so, so great. It leaves my skin with a gorgeous dewy, glowy effect which isn't negated by a light dusting of setting powder. I find it stays all day after a spritz of Fix+. It's sheer at first, but can be built up without looking like I'm wearing a cake face. Also, it's perfect to bring down onto my neck or decollage area if I'm having blotchy skin problems there.

Well in Canada this item is expensive over almost 40 bucks. It was not really a great coverage for me, and just felt very oily on my skin

when applied, your skin looks amazingly flawless and dewy (the look i favour)...but maybe because i bought the wrong shade or my skin is quite sensitive, i have a bit of an itching panic towards the end of the night, mainly on my chin. since then its sitting on my bathroom counter. but i dont doubt that its a good foundation. price a bit too high. its £23 here.

Price:3.5 - Not bad for the amount of product you get, but I read another review here and someone said that the shelf life is horrible so I guess it's not such a good deal.
Packaging Quality: 3 - It's big and bulky. I'm personally not a fan of anything big and bulky since I like to carry around a lot of my makeup.

General Comments on this product: I went to the MAC store in hopes of purchasing the StudioFix Fluid but when I asked the MA what she recommended, she told me to try the F&B Foundation instead. [Note: I don't need full coverage. I just need a foundation to even out my skin tone since I have a bit of redness and discoloration in my skin. I also have very dry skin and an oily t-zone.] Anyway, she applied the F&B Foundation on my face using the 187 Duo Fibre Brush and I absolutely LOVED how natural my skin looked! It looked fresh, glowy, and healthy. So of course my impulse set in and I purchased it immediately. Alright, so I use it for about a week and start to notice some things I don't like about it. So it claims to make your skin look "dewy" and while it does do its job, I find that the dewyness makes my face feel sticky. In hopes of finding a solution to counter this problem, I brushed on some loose powder. OK, so that worked. BUUUT... it made my face itch like CRAZY!
Well, shucks. What do I do now? I, for one, hate returning used makeup. So after experimenting with other foundations and feeling unbelievably discouraged that I was ever going to find the right one for me, I turned back to the F&B Foundation. Although I really, really, really hate that sticky feeling on my face, it's a decent foundation for the summer if you're looking for something sheer.
Tips: Mix it in with moisturizer to create your very own tinted moisturizer. Or try mixing it with a luminizer for a healthy glow. I like to mix mine with Almay's Face Brightener - Buff Afterglow.

Sooo... It is my first foundation from MAC and I could say I have never seen any analogues of this in other brands. Face&Body is the very liquid foundation. I put it on with my 190 brush and become a very thin, fast invisible, layer. Then I put it one more time on my problem areas and then use my concealer on acne-spots or blemishes. Yes, it is the pretty long process, but the result is worthy of it . The coverage is thin and fast invisible, it looks absolutely natural
I have very fair combination skin with some dry areas. Many of the foundations I have tryed were very visible on this areas. Face&Body doesn't. I also love the color - I use C1 and it is very light without any rose or yellow undertone. And one more important thing - it clogs not your pores.
This foundation stays on the skin all day long. It gives nice healthy glow and doesn't look cakey.
The bottle is very big and, IMO, endless. I would prefer this in some smaller glass bottle with a pump.
So, I would recommend it to persons with thin skin without any very visible problems, who doesn't like thick layers of the colour on the face.

I love this foundation. It creates a nice even canvas for me to paint on myself. I have quite blotchy and randomly pigmented skin on my neck and this works much better on it than other than using a normal foundation because it doesn't budge! I only need a bit of concealer with this foundation and I'm set.
I love it, converted forever.
