Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation- Loose
Overall Rating: 4

Would you buy this product again? Probably.

The packaging on this is really cute, however I'm not a huge fan of the caplicator. There isn't much give in the sponge so to me it feels like you're rubbing any concealer you have on off. It also seems like I can't get the right about of product with the caplicator. It's either way to little and having to re-apply or way too much and making my pores more noticible (w/Strobe Cream as base over moisturizer). The second time I tried it I used the 182 kabuki with it and it seemed to look more natural. You probably have to be careful as the brush (atleast mine) is a little bigger than the opening of the jar. I just dab it in a little to get a little product and not to harm the brush.

Even though I felt the packaging was cute and see what they were trying to do, I wish they would remove the caplicator and use the wasted space to add more product. You get 8.5g which is a gram bigger than a pigment jar. To me it doesn't seem like much when you use it everyday. In comparison to select sheer you get an extra half a gram. However the other foundations all rang from 10g-28g. So the only real negative I see is there being less product than most other MAC foundations.

over all: 4
price: 3
packaging: -4
would repurchase

First of all i'd like to say that i'm super fair and i got it to work- so i don't want to hear it!!! LOL It's really the best MMU i ever tried. it's smooth, not shiny and not super opaque. It actually looks very skin like and with blot powder or select sheer the shade is slighly 'tweekable'. it wears off realativly quick and the reapplication doesn't result in a total mess. I actually like it as a finishing/ touch up powder because of the spf!!!But the packaging is sooooo horrid- i'm ashamed to leave it in my counter LOL -no seriously i couldn't stand it so i put it in a mac shifter jar. Forget the caplicator for best results 187 or 182 <3 HTHs

Would you buy this product again? Maybe

I just bought this product but I still want to share my thoughts. I do think that the price is a little steep for the size of the product but at the same time I realize there are a lot of minerals in it so that's fine too.

The capplicator seems like an unnecessary tool (for me atleast), I much rather they made a little kabuki and included it in the product. Most people agree that brushes are better since more product goes on the face instead of the sponge, but I digress!

As for the product itself, I will say I like the texture a lot even though it took several applications of it to get the finish I wanted. It was so light that it felt like nothing on!

So for those of you who like the feel of a lighter "foundation," I would def go out and get this. For those of you who like fuller coverage, I would use this as a nice setting powder.

Would you buy this product again: Perhaps, time will tell.

This foundation provides good coverage for me without looking cakey or un-natural. I wasn't intending to use the caplicator thingy but thought I would test it out before dismissing it and I actually quite like it. I sort of press the product onto my face and give the applicator a little twist on my skin to blend the powder in, rather than rubbing it. I find using the caplicator gives a fuller coverage, I got a very light coverage when using a kabuki brush.

The pot it comes in is a little naff, I'm not entirely confident that the lid will stay on in my make-up bag when on the go but I still need to test that. I find I need to open the lid carefully incase a lot of powder had made its way through the sifter. For the price I paid I would expect a closeable sifter.

I wore this foundation today for work and it still looked pretty fresh even after running around for 8 hours solid. I needed to blot a few times but it never looked blotchy.

I had previously been using a cheaper mineral powder which worked ok but I was oily by the end of the day. I don't find I am as shiny when using the MAC powder and the texture of the foundation is of a high quality, my face feels very smooth.

I will decide to purchase again if I feel I get enough product for my money, I am not sure how long a jar will last me as yet.
