General Comments on this product: MAC's true answer to Smashbox's photofinish. It is a clear gel that goes on the skin to prep it. While prep and prime is nice this clear gel gives you a smoother non-shiney finish ready for flawless application of powder or foundation. The price for this product is much more reasonable then photofinish as well. A definite must have.

General Comments on this product: i've found my HG skin prep for foundation. it goes on clear, and leaves foundation matte all day! im definitely in love with this product :]

A light-diffusing product in gel form, Matte is suitable for oily skin and dry skin that shines due to taut dehydration. It isn't an oil-correcting product, but a classic light-diffuser - light is broken up by the silicon gel, ensuring that no broad swatches of light is reflected. A healthy glow is retained, with no artifical over-matte finish.

This product is ideal to wear over bare skin - apply and blend, then set with a light application of setting or blotting powder. Product will not move unless physically wiped off.

Sensitive or sensitised skin suffers would do well to try a sample of this before committing to a full tube - whilst the product is very stable and not acidic nor alkaline, sensitised skin can react to silicon-based product. YMMV.

Silicone is toxic to your skin, so use on your skin at your own risk! (Smashbox PhotoFinish does not contain silicone.) However, the Matte Texture does work fabulously as a matte lip gloss.

This works as another skin primer for my shiny, oily t-zone area.
It works fairly well and my make-up does not budge. This product also helps with the shine factor and sometimes I apply this during the day when I need extra shine control.
