Pigment: Entremauve (Nocturnelle)
Overall Rating 4.5

I love the colour of entremuave so much...it's a highly pigmented true royal dark purple which i have been looking for. Unlike most of MAC's purples which have red undertones to them, this doesn't have the slightest bit of red in it. Great for smokey eyes....and it also looks great when paired with subtle pigment also from nocturnelle collection. I only minus 0.5 points for this because this is highly pigmented and goes wrongly easily if not carefully used. But still it's a wonderful colour that'll purchase again IF I EVER finish this bottle that i have

As to people comments saying that it looks almost like grape pigment, i can't say anything about it as i don't have grape pigment. But for those who don't have grape pigment, u have to get this colour.

this pigment is very pretty, acc to the MAC website it's a rich violet with pink reflects pearl. I think this pigments is allmost matte, and it is not the easiest pigment to work with. I only have it one day and played with it twice so my opinion about it can still change, but I feel like this pigment shouldn't be applied lightly, or it will look messy before you know it. I guess this is one of the pigment that are beautifull when you learned to work with it. till then, keep on trying!

Would you buy this product again? Yes, but won't have to

I love the colour of Entremauve pigment. Grape pigment has always been one of my favorites, but the fact that it isn't eyesafe limits its use. Entremauve is very close to grape pigment with the added advantage that it is eyesafe. It is also more smokey in colour than grape and doesn't seem to have the red undertones that grape does. It is quite difficult to work with (which is why it got 4 instead of 5) but is beautiful wet, and as I am getting the hang of using it, it looks better and better. The real trick with this colour is to have a good base first and blend it out well. As a liner or as a shadow, this is a beautiful pigment.

I love this color a dark purple with sparkle i pair it with my kitchmas pigment its almost like a matte pigment with a little bit of sparkle its a nice change from the overwelming sparkle of most of the pigments.

This was actually the first pigment I bought. My friend and I went to MAC for a promotion where they do your make up, and my make up artist was wearing it. I was always afraid of pigments, and now I'm completely obsessed. I've bought 7 in a two week span. This is such a beautiful color. I think it's my favorite purple so far.

Would you buy this product again? Probably not, I have more than enough.

This is a gorgeous colour but unfortunately quite difficult to wotk with. Far more like a matte than a frost it has a tendancy to streak and because of the richness of its colour those streaks are hard to fix, it goes VERY wrong VERY easily. With a little patience and a careful hand this is a beautiful colour, but Grape is such a close dupe that if you dont want to pay more than standard retail you are better off with Grape - the colours are almost indistinguishable anyway. No benefit over Grape really for working with - Grape has the same texture and application problems.
Either or will do the trick in all honesty, you wont need both if you are only looking to purchase one dark purple.

I got a sample of this off of a friend. To start with, I don't really ever wear purple. However, I gave this a shot. I can see why some may find it hard to work with, but I think it can be okay depending on how you are using it. I used it for crease/outer corner with the entire eye area covered in Frost pigment, and if blended well, it is quite striking. This is a weird colour because it's like matte with a bit of sparkle. A nice colour, but I will never finish the amount that I have. I'm still glad that I have some for when I'm in a purple mood.
