Island Orchid is a redder plum purple. It is a bit redder and lighter than MAC's Grape pigment. Really nice color for using in combinations that need plum instead of purple, but plum might be too red.

This is a fine milled pigment but for the price, it is worth having if you like to have plum purples around.
