I am not sure if this is the same color under two different names or not. Magenta from Sweetscents is very close to this color. Melancholy has a more intense lilac/blue/violet shimmer to it, but that could just be the blend of that batch. It also looks to have a more lilac base to it, but again, it is very close.

Very vibrant, this is like Milani's Shock eyeshadow, but much more intense. I love it as an accent shadow, lipstick/gloss enhancer and even a blush.

If I had to choose between the two of these colors, based upon what I have right now, I would choose Melancholy- it is a tad more intense and brilliant. Goes on very smooth and intensely- it is more of the metallic pigment type.

If this is your first sweetscents review....

If you want to check out these pigments, they are about $2 each for a 10g jar (MAC wants $18.50 for a 7.5g jar) and the quality is as good as MAC in most of the colors.

Some of the colors that I am reviewing are not on the site yet, it is supposed to be revamped soon. You can talk with the sweetscents lady via phone or email (it is on the site) and tell her that you read my review of the color if you do not see it on the site (she knows me by now since I ask endless questions- I am the artist capri) and that way she will not wonder how you knew about the color.
