Sweetscents pigments: Purple Shimmer (loose color powder)

Buy again? Yes

Purple Shimmer- that PERFECT purple pigment that I have spent years looking for.

Here is a photo so you can see it on skin color as a background why describe it when you can see it?:

(if you have read my other sweetscents reviews, skip the next few paragraphs)

Well, I just HAVE to take the time to review these pigments. Perhaps you are a MAC pigment addict and wish for more colors to buy, but there aren't any more.

Maybe you are a MAC pigment addict and the $18.50 for one color is prohibitive for you.

In either case, this may be an answer for you. Sweetscents.com is run by a woman who supplies pigments to many major makeup companies so that they can use them in their makeup of their own formulations. The milling of most of these colors is similar to the finer milling of the newer MAC pigments, not the chunkier versions in the old formulations.

She has colors that I used to dream of. The price is unbelievable- 10 10g jars for $20 (plus $8 shipping).

Purple Shimmer is a PERFECT purple shimmer pigment. True purple with purple and pink shimmer (more true blue purple than MAC's grape), Purple Shimmer really glows. I just LOVE this color. Goes well with MAC's pink pearl, Frozen White, and even vanilla.

If I pack this pigment on over royal hue or other base BEFORE it sets, it looks gorgeous. I really love this color.
