Brush: 217 (blending brush)
Overall rating 5
Price Value 5
Packaging quality 1 (open ended plastic bag seems low class to me)
Buy again? YES

This is one of the most valuable brushes in my kit. It is super in blending colors under the brow. Gives a beautiful wash effect and makes the eyes look fabulous when using colors that you want to blend well.

I use it constantly with powder based pigments. It is goat hair, which works best with powders and not creams. I can not apply makeup as well as I would like without this brush. It makes blending very easy, quick and I need that for the artistic looks that I often do.

Its most basic use is to wash color over the browbone- something like vanilla. Really beautiful!

This brush is great for blending darker colors in the crease and to blend shade's together.
Made with super soft goat hairs. Great value for money.

To me, this is the best blending brush especially for the crease area... I have more control over the color that with 224 and i have more control of how much i pick up!!! love it!!!

I have really small asian eyes and this is the perfect brush for my crease color. i find that it actually applies the color more vividly then the 224 brush. I think this is due to the fact that it is not as fluffy and more dense. I use this to apply my paints when im using it as a crease color. Also when im trying to blend some that is creamy this is the brush i reach for. When i need to blend regular e/s , i do reach for the 224 brush.

I use this for blending concealer and omg does it work great XD
It's really easy to build up color with and also grabs onto just the amount you need at a time. Totally essential.

This is my HG for blending eyeshadow and pigments (i.e. blending between harsh lines and in the crease, as well as using it for hightlighting the brow bone). My eye makeup application would not be the same without. I prefer this over the 224, which in my opinion doesn't pick up enough color and is harder to control due to it's fluffiness. Definitely purchase this over and over again!

I use this solely to blend highlight and shadows together. The bristles are a little stiffer with this than the other blending brushes and sometimes that helps with darker shadows IMO. I still prefer the 224 over all the other blending brushes though.

I second the opinion that this brush looks like it has split ends! Of all my brushes this brush's bristles look like split ends and stick out in tiny tufts, never uniformly like all my other brushes even though I HAVE NO IDEA why! I take great care of all my brushes but this one has always looked "funny" maybe I got a bad one?? Also it has splaying on the outer bristles.

Its still a favorite, great for applying and blending bolder colors. I prefer the 224 because of its subtle manner of applying and blending e/s, but this one is a great too for different purposes!

Buy again? FOR SURE!

Comments:
This is like a mixture of the 224 and the 239. It applies and blends powder e/s like no other! It's SO GOOD! I use it all the time and sometimes it's the only brush I use to makeup my eyes.

Buy again? Unsure

I like a much softer blend, but this is good for use on my actual eyelid as the 224 is rather large and mutes my lid colors too much. If I want a bolder look, the 217 is good for my crease as well.

I love how soft it is! I've had other blending brushes, but they're so dense and scratchy that I can't use them.

Takes a while to get the hang of, but is definitely worth while!

I love this brush! It blends perfectly and is nice and soft on the skin. Granted, it's not as soft as the 224, but it still gets the job done.
