Ideas for selfmade lipstick holders?

I'd love to make a holder out of empty MAC l/s boxes as Leppy suggested, but I have maybe 2 of them, so that option's out.

Currently I'm keeping my l/s in empty quadratic cotton swab boxes, with rubber bands spanned across (3 on each side = 4x4 rows = 16 compartments), it's just a quick fix and practical enough but not pretty

I simply have no luck finding acrylic organizers where I live, so it'd be great if creative ladies on here could share their ideas for custom made holders

Could anyone guide me to a pic or description of the lipstick holder make out of MAC boxes?? I have just been introduced to this idea and I would love to see one or learn how to make one! Thanks!

It's called the Rubbermaid SpaceMaker X-Cube, and I know in Canada it's widely available at office supply stores (Staples, etc.) for around $10-$12.

hey, i'm not sure if you've heard of koren... he's a makeup artist with the most amazing youtube videos (enkoremakeup). he did a video on creating lipstick holders with cardboard snack boxes, so maybe you can try it out? Check it out:
