Exclamation Pans for pressing pigments - European line?
Hi girls.

What eyeshadow brand do you use for pressing pigments in Europe (pans)? I would prefer one that fits into a MAC pallette. Is there something that's a good equivalent? I can't seem to find any cheap eyeshadow pans that would work. A lot of them have weird shapes. Since we have different brands in Europe, I thought someone could give me a suggestion...

Hi Julia,

I don't know if you can find this brand in Switzerland but I remember Arcancil made little pans e/s that would fit into your MAC palette. Take a look here to see the shape & size:

Hope that'll help!

Ah shame... and do you have The Body Shop? Their e/s come in small pans just like the Arcancil ones! Here's a pic: http://www.thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/... d=cat4750005

You can do a search here as well: http://www.thebodyshopinternational.com/Store+Locator/

Re: Pans for pressing pigments - European line?
The thing is, their eyeshadows are kind of expensive here so it seems like a waste to just throw away the eyeshadow for the pan....That's why I'm looking for something really cheap. Is it possible to buy just the pans anywhere, like from a wholesale place or something?

Re: Pans for pressing pigments - European line?
I understand. I remember my sister had some eye shadows from Margaret Astor and they were the same size as MAC ones, and it's a cheap band.

Did you try to call your MAC counter and ask them about those pans? When customers bring back their empty palettes to refill them, maybe they can keep the pans for you? Who knows...

Re: Pans for pressing pigments - European line?
you can find a cheap palette with 15 pans at claire's stores!

the pan's size are the same than the mac pans !

i have found this information here (but that's in french) : http://www.amabilia.com/cgi-bin/ulti.../3/2174/2.html

but i don't know if you can find claire's stores in Switzerland !?

you can maybe find empty pans on eBay ? i saw some a few times ago...(samphora-face-treat store)

Re: Pans for pressing pigments - European line?
Thank you!! Yes we have Claire's here. I never thought to check out their makeup line! lol (Gee I wonder why, hehe.) That link was helpful, thanks, I can read French.

I will check it out for sure. Also, does anyone know the H&M makeup line, if their eyeshadow pans would fit?

I have an eyeshadow palette from H&M! The MAC pans are a little bit bigger but I don't think that's a real problem !? Maybe the single shadows have another size?
Here's a picture with a shadow in the H&M's palette and a pan from MAC :

Re: Pans for pressing pigments - European line?
@ Jayne - How are the H&M shadows for quality? They are so cheap. I saw a green shadow that looked exactly like Golder's Green pigment or the discontinued Guacamole shadow from MAC, and the consistency felt great on my hand! A few of the other ones I swatched on my hand were so-so.
