I hear ya! I recently depotted all my e/s, enough to fill 3 15 pan palettes and about 8 quads, sooo... everything will be B2M for this collection with the exception of the two kohls that I want! Otherwise, ya, i'd be screwed!

I know some stores are really bad about not allowing it. I have a friend who's store in FL says no, even after she called the MAC Corporate office and they said it was okay. Each store is different, so call around, or send off your empties to a friend who's store allows it along with a laundry list of what you want to get.

Don't depot, yeah some places will take depotted empties but most will not, and it is always best to stick to the policy. Better to be safe than sorry. Yeah, yeah, call me a killjoy. But I am very anal about it. Plus the pots are good because you can just toss a few in your makeup bag, like Frangos in your purse.
The Freestanding I went to today had Starflash out and I only got Sunset B. so far. IMO it is unique as well. I swatched it next to Angelcake and three other shadows-Sushi Flower and Lancome's The Pink Carpet and Makeover. If you mixed Makeover with a smidge of Sushi Flower and took out half the silver shimmer, you would maybe get close to it. If you have not used your Pink Pearl or Fuschia pigments in ages, or if you are looking for a fun one to use Royal Flush with, this is it IMO.

Re: MAC - Starflash Discussion
Top Hat is one of the ones that's calling my name...HOWEVER...
I have :
Fertile
Plum
Satellite Dreams
the purple in Heatherette Trio 2
Grape Pigment
& Entremauve pigment..
do i REALLY need another purple!?...the description of the texture is tempting me though..oh what to do..what to do..
also is Star By Night anything like Blue Flame from Cool Heat..?? i know both were compared to Deep Truth..but once again..it's the texture!
eyeshadows ARE my weakness...

HTH!
aww sorry hun, i gotta disagree with this Knight Divine is a distinct grey/silver with that slight steely blue undertone that gunmetal shades tend to get, however Smoke & Diamonds has a slight olive undertone (like Sweet Sienna has) and a hint of taupe. I believe if you swatched them side by side, S&D would seem much warmer, despite also being a shade of grey

I'm gonna have to agree with this. I can get away at my freestanding store with like 3 depots (probably because the don't even look), but I feel like if you walk in there with a 100 depotted eyeshadows they'll start counting them and the no depots rule might come up.

Very true! I think most stores would be a bit doubtful if you walked in with tons of B2M. I think I have done 5 at most, usually less. And that was a store that really knew me. I'd ask your store's policies before you even take your B2M in. I know that the store typically would only take 3 at a time (so 18 empties), but let that slide the one time.
