It depends on your personal taste, of course; if you like greys/taupes, I would NOT miss "Smoke & Diamonds"!

I have the exact same coloring and I totally agree that smoke & diamonds is freaking awesome! I am THINKING about getting a back up because I will be sad if I ever run out of this color!

They are definitley different. On me the heatherette color is more of a white pink(highlight style color, IMO) and sunset B is more of a true pink(more of a lid color, IMO)

Are we talking about the same pinks? I don't mean the highlighter one from the trio, I am referring to the mid-tone pink in the trio.

So i plan on back 2 mac-ing for Smoke and Diamonds and Top Hat. Im not sure what one other one i should get if any...

Should i try to go for Sunset B even though i've never used any pinks ever and own none because i feel they look strange on me. lol. The closest i've got to pink is pink pearl which is more of a purpley pink.

VIP from Trio 2 is more of a glittery pink.....Sunset B has a different finish and color payoff, much more of a 'sheen' than a glitter.

LOL, I am a moron.

Those 2 are similar, but the heatherette pink has a glitter & they have a different finish, sunset B has a nice glow to it that heatherette doesn't have.

I think we die-hard "taupe heads" are going to be the ones who appreciate "Smoke & Diamonds" the most, because we simply cannot get enough taupes!

I, for example, own the following: MAC Satin Taupe, Stila Diamond Lil, Avon Slate, MAC Coco pigment, MAC Sunnydaze pigment, MAC Clue, MAC French Grey, Stila Cloud, MAC Subtle pigment and MAC Mauvement pigment.

I have backups of Sunnydaze, Subtle, Clue, French Grey and Mauvement.
I would not part with any of them.

I'm right there with ya! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Taupy colors! I have of course 2 of the Clue, that usually is what I use most all the time when I put on my quick makeup for work.

I love tempting too! I think that was amongst some of the first colors I've every bought from MAC. I Love doing an every day smokey eye with Tempting in the crease and Patina on the lid with Shroom as a highlight. LOVE IT! So GO was a definite GO for me!!!

So you finally got your package?

What did you think of everything else? Glamour Check is actually really nice when swatched in person. It's nothing like the worst piece of MAC we both bought.
