Re: MAC - Starflash Discussion
So I got my order a couple of days ago. FINALLY!
I got Smoke & Diamonds, Top Hat, Mink & Sable, & Lotusland.
I am happy I got them all but I have to say I am the least happy with Lotusland. It is pretty sheer on me. I swatched on my hand with no base and it didn't show up at all. Today I am wearing it over the Beige-ing Shadestick and that helped the color pop a lot, however, I still had to pack it on a lot more than the other colors.
My favourite is a toss up between Mink & Sable and Smoke & Diamonds. These colors are both so easy to wear. I really like Top Hat too because there is nothing like it in the permanent collection. It's a dark blue purple which is totally different than any of the other purples that I have.

I find it helps with application of the sheerer colors if you use a thick full-haired brush and just pack it onto the brush. Then, make sure you swipe back and forth on your eyelid, it really helps bring the color out. You may have some fallout. If that doesn't work, try patting the color on instead. Or spray some Fix+ on the brush, if you have it.

They are pretty similar in color to each other but the texture of smoke & diamonds makes it well worth it.

The color is definitely similar almost the same color. Sweet Sienna is much more shimmery with gold and copper pearl and sheer than Smoke and Diamonds. Smoke and Diamonds is opaque and lush as a color.

Fertile is more...blackened and a bit warmer than Top Hat, which is definitely cooler in tone.

Re: MAC - Starflash Discussion
So I was finally able to pick up BB & Glamour Check yesterday!! These were the only two (aside from the 2 blues) I didn't get! So now I have all but the 2 blues.
This morning on my way to work I used both on my eyes... It was the weirdest thing... Using Glamour check in the crease and outter V and BB on the lid... it came out totally different than how it looks in the pot. It looked like the same exact combo when I use Clue in crease and outter V and expensive pink on the lid. I'm not really sure why the colors changed so much on me. GRANTED... I WAS doing this in 8am traffic with the sun blaring on my face...lol. Not the safest way to put makeup on... BUT it works when I'm running late for work. Lucky for me, traffic doesn't move to darn fast!
Just very weird how the colors sort of changed on me. I'll have to try the combo again while I'm at home and not rushed. It was just odd. It still looked good but... It looked the same.
Still love those 2 colors though!! Glad I bought them.
