Re: Novel Twist Discussion
if you have the long handle brushes, do not bother with the sets unless you want them for travelling. quality of their short handle brushes are way worse. especially for the dense and firm brushes.

usually mac release short handle sets twice a year, in july and october (for xmas)
hth.

EDIT!

the paint pots look awesome... but i wonder what they look like irl... i'll have to wait till the 20th when it comes out in the store near me :P

Re: Novel Twist Discussion
Everyone has been talking about the quality of the brush sets... but I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to play with the baby kabuki yet!! It's marked as a SE brush, so I'm reaally wondering about the quality of that one- though I'm getting it anyway since it is just toooo cute to pass up XD

Re: Novel Twist Discussion
I picked up my pearlizer set on Friday and played with it a bit yesterday (in a rush, during a wedding!) along my decollatage and found it to be fairly well-made, not like the other brushes in the sets. I found those to be quite poor, actually, altho that could be just the testers they put out, but the mini-kabuki tester is of much better quality than the other brushes. I got a brush set with Tailor Made (2005) and those seem much better. I'm still using those now and their condition is still great!

Re: Novel Twist Discussion
Does anyone know how pigmented the Paint Pot in Delft is? I saw swatches and in some it looks pretty sheer but I've never seen it in person. I really hope it's not too sheer since it seems like an alternative to A Bluer Blue eyeshadow....

YAY!! Thank you!! I'm really looking forward to getting this now! So glad that I got a CP from the US I was worried about it since I can't view them in person afterall... but I knew I'd be kicking myself for not picking something so cute up!

I thought it was MUCH more pigmented in real life. Which was sad to me lol...I thought it might be a faded steel blue-gray color, but it's a lot like Bluer blue. You can blend it out sheer but it's got good color payoff. Lots of sparkle.
