Re: "The Originals" discussion
Does anyone have a date when this will be out in Europe? I know it says January but nothing more specific. The release dates are usually the same all over Europe, but for reference I live in Sweden.

Re: "The Originals" discussion
"the originals" collection has been available in Belgium since last Friday 04/01/08. I can't imagine that we would be faster than the rest of Europe.

Re: "The Originals" discussion
Thanks bartp! I think Sweden is delayed as usual... very often the collections reach us a lot later than the rest of the world.

Re: "The Originals" discussion
Our locations in Switzerland have it already at the counters as well. I picked up Clue, that's the only thing I bought.

Re: "The Originals" discussion
OK, I am very late now, but I only recently got a chance to see the collection in person and I am quite unimpressed. Clue hardly showed up on me when I swatched it. Alum was nice, but too close to Print (or Scene?) for me to warrant a buy. I ended up with just Parrot, partly for the hype but also because I really like the colour.

I felt underwhelmed by this collection, too.
I bought only "Clue," which I really like but am not foaming at the mouth over, and the glitter "Reflects Blackened Red."
RBR is gorgeous, but I simply cannot get the stuff to apply smoothly to my lips. I'm normally quite deft with makeup, but this one has me stumped.
I've tried patting it on, dusting it on, smoothing it on, mixing it into lip gloss, and even dipping the end of my lipstick into it, and still it looks clumpy.
I'll keep it, and I suppose I'll find a way to apply it eventually, but it's just not as easy to use as I'd hoped it would be.

Well, to me it´s the perfect cool brown for a subdued everyday look. (I´m NW 15 to 20, my eyes are of a blueish gray shade)

If you like neutral eyeshadows, particularly taupes, you'll want to get Clue.
I can't quite decide if Clue is a grayed brown, or a browned gray.
If you're familiar with French Grey, imagine a lighter, slightly grayer version of that color, with silver sheen, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what Clue is like.
With my coloring(NW15; brunette; jade green eyes) I love Clue on the lid, French Grey in the crease and Silver Fog pigment to highlight inner corners and browbones.
The above combination makes a wonderful taupe-y gray eye.
I guess the characteristic I most appreciate about Clue is the fact that it looks gray, not blue, on me.
That may sound kind of weird, but I find it very annoying when gray eyeshadow looks blue on me.

RBR is a glitter, and glitters aren't smooth. you're not gonna get the same effect that you do with a pigment. try applying it over eyeshadow, or use it with nail polish.

A MA mixed it with clear lipglass and it looked great. I don't know how much he used but it was very pigmented and went on very smoothly.

This is my first MAC glitter, so I didn't know what they're like.
I've worked with other, cheaper glitters before, and didn't have any problem with them.
As for possible other uses, there's a warning on the box that RBR comes in that states that the glitter should not be used anywhere near the eyes.
I don't wear nail polish, and this wouldn't work as a blush for me.
I'll keep trying. Yesterday I wore a dab of RBR over Wild 'Bout You lipstick, and it looked pretty darn good.
Maybe at first I just wasn't using the right lipstick ...

you can also use it in your hair with mousse or gel. or on the body with lotion or a spray. keep working with it.
