I love paints, but I hate that the tubes get so mangled and chipped, so this is a good thing in terms of that, but maybe less sanitary because you dip your finger in it? I don't know. I'm excited to see them though!

I just don't see why they have to get rid of the regular paints! Can't we just have both?

Thanks for that, but I don't think that anyone here is implying that their tubes explode with great bursts of paint. Even a little ooze can be inconvenient if you are making up multiple clients at a sitting and have to work quickly (then I like to keep a little paint in sample jars if I am using a new tube, as I don't want even a little speck of paint on my hands).

I'm interested to see what MAC comes up with - I love my paints, and I hope they can absolutley perfect it.

hmm... im skeptical bout this one.. no i do not like how the paints ooze out when theres an air, and the pot packaging sounds cool.. but do you guys think that it will cost more? im guessing a pot will cost more to make than a squeezy tube.. ill prolly still buy em though! but maybe i should stock up on the paints too.. any ideas on the shelf life of a paint?

I'm kind of excited about this. One reason I don't use the paints are because of the packaging and all the waste

I guess I'm not very hard on my paints...I haven't had anything but the "oozing" thing, but managed to squeeze the tube just right to suck it back in or push down on the stuff & it mashed back into the tube, and I never needed much to come out of it to use. I thought the main reason these work so well is because of the dryer texture than something in a fluidline type tube with a sponge-tip applicator or something, and I truly hope the new formula can be relied on for all the things I love about my paints! And I hope they keep the same shades exactly the same, because otherwise I don't want to hear there will be no Bare Canvas, Stillife, Untitled, and a few others I use every day. If someone could warn me/us here before we can't find them anymore, I'll hoard some before they're gone. I am anxious, though, also to try the new kind & hope it's the most wonderful stuff ever! If it's not, I'm going to go look up the Guerlain stuff!

The Paints def ooze and waste a lot of product in the beginning, but they also preserve the product really well and since almost no air gets inside, the paint doesn't dry out. I think having it in a pot would suck, tbh. I'd rather they just IMPROVE the tube packaging that the paints come in right now to prevent the oozing, then it would be a perfect product!
