depends, I usually use 1 foundation brush (kabuki brush from BE) and 1-3 eyeshadow brushes. when I do a multiple color eye look, I can use up to 10 brushes

So that's 8 brushes I use when I apply makeup on myself HTH
For all out looks:
MAC 129 for powder fdtn
MAC 187 for blush
MAC 239 for all over eyes
MAC 272 for lids
MAC 217 for blending
Chanel #12 for crease
MAC 219 for smudging
MAC 266 for eyeliner
MAC 242 for paint or base
MAC 194 for concealer
MAC 190 for foundation
MAC 208, 209 or 210 for lining depending on look im going for
MAC 262 for crease
MAC 217 for blending e/s
MAC 316 for lipglass
MAC 129 for blush
some dry clean mascara thingy for brows and declumping of mascara

Lots. The 239 for all over, another 239 for light colours (I'm obsessive) a 217 for blending, and then a quo lip brush which is hands down the best crease brush ever, and the 209 or 266 for lining if I am going to line. Wow, that's a heck of a lot of brushes

I use about 3 for eyes and 2 for my face and one for my lips.
I can't really list what I use because it changes with each look but do use MAC 239 for just about every eye look and Becca portable lip brush for my lips.
