How many brushes do you use for one m/u application?

depends, I usually use 1 foundation brush (kabuki brush from BE) and 1-3 eyeshadow brushes. when I do a multiple color eye look, I can use up to 10 brushes

haha... hold on I have to count... around 7 - 8 daily;

Foundation, concealer, blush, powder, and 3-4 eyeshadow brushes

On myself? I generally use 3- a brush similar to MAC 242, MAC 180, and Winsor & Newton 240-3

Stila #5 - All over eyeshadow
MAC 262 - Crease
MAC 217 - Blending eyeshadow
Stila #4 - Eyeliner
MAC Spoolie - Brows and Lash declumping
MAC 316 - lipgloss
NARS Bronzer brush - Blush
MAC 129 - Powder

So that's 8 brushes I use when I apply makeup on myself

1 for my blush

For all out looks:
MAC 129 for powder fdtn
MAC 187 for blush
MAC 239 for all over eyes
MAC 272 for lids
MAC 217 for blending
Chanel #12 for crease
MAC 219 for smudging
MAC 266 for eyeliner

For everyday: just the 272, #12, 266

MAC 190 for foundation
MAC 208, 209 or 210 for lining depending on look im going for
MAC 262 for crease
MAC 217 for blending e/s
MAC 316 for lipglass
MAC 129 for blush

some dry clean mascara thingy for brows and declumping of mascara

I use 2 sponges one big and one small for Concealer. I use my hands for foundation and I use 1-2 brushes for eyeshadow.

so 4 if you count sponges, haha.

I'm just wondering as i only use the 239 at the moment and a flat slanted art store brush for lining wit shadows and pigments.

So how many different brushes do you use for an average eyelook, and which are they and what do you use each to do?

Mostly, 2-3. 239 for lid and crease and 266 to line. 224 for blending and sometimes 219 for a defined crease.

Five. Generally, I use 239 for lid, 222 for crease, 219 for deep crease, 275 for browbone, and 212 to line for my average looks.

Lots. The 239 for all over, another 239 for light colours (I'm obsessive) a 217 for blending, and then a quo lip brush which is hands down the best crease brush ever, and the 209 or 266 for lining if I am going to line. Wow, that's a heck of a lot of brushes

Aggh,.. sometimes I get a wild hair and think I need to use them all at once,... but for the mos part I would say 9 probably,..

Concealer Brush
Powder Brush
Kabuki Brush
Skunk Brush
Blush Brush
2 eyeliner brushes 1 angle 1 pencil
my 242 (HG of brushes)
my 217 (For blending)

I use about 3 for eyes and 2 for my face and one for my lips.

I can't really list what I use because it changes with each look but do use MAC 239 for just about every eye look and Becca portable lip brush for my lips.
