Parrot lookalikes

Hi everyone

I am desperate for MAC Parrot lol but its so hard to get a hold of! I've been getting recs for shadows that are very similar to Parrot, I thought I'd post them here as they might be useful for some of the other ladies who also don't have Parrot (sob!)

If any of you think any of these aren't good alternatives please post a reply as I'd be interested to know what you think before I try to get a hold of them!

Cargo - Aegean
Bloom - Lagoon
Ben Nye - Peacock
Shu - ME638
Lise Watier - Folie d'eau
Smashbox - Smashing Digital
L'oreal Diva Down On The Loose (d/cd but you might be able to find it at a drugstore or by swapping for it)

I just bought parrot so when it gets here I will swatch compare it to lise watier folie d'eau which I have. I will let you know. I also have access to Cargo aegean and will test that one too.

I made a post in the general make-up discussion; estee lauder had a pallette with one color really close to parrot. beside, MAC andEL are made in the same factory!

Are these the new EL that you are talking about? The ones that just came out not too long ago?

If so, they are horrible and nothing like parrot. The one color was similar, but the quality was horrible.

I actually used them in a makeover and had to apply parrot instead to keep the look.

there's a color from american beauty at kohl's which is very very close to parrot!!

it's Luxury for Lids™ Eyeshadow Duo in Desert Sparkle (the blue/green color of course) the swatches on the site don't do it justice!

Bare Escentuals Glimmer in "Azure" is almost identical, in my opinion, just more shimmery!

My hubby temporarily misplaced my digicam so I can't post pics yet, but Parrot and Lise Watier folie d'eau are almost identical. Parrot has more pigmentation to it and folie d'eau is more sparkley. If you used a shadestick under it and packed it on, there wouldn't be much difference. I promise to post pics when the digicam is relocated. I haven't been able to go and swatch test Cargo Aegean yet, but hope to this week sometime. HTH

Bloom Lagoon, and Peacock even which has been recently discontinued are supposed to be fantastic. Though I was under the impression that Peacock was actually a better Parrot dupe. But it's more matte than Lagoon.

Lagoon is also available in powder and cream formula. Hope this helps!

Shu ME blue 638 deserves the right to be owned aside from whether or not it resembles Parrot. The texture is deluxe and the colour - oh-so-glam without looking too tacky. Or, perhaps I don't care if it looks tacky!? :P

Can anyone tell me if Max Factor Aqua FX is a close dupe? Somone told me it was so I bought it, but I don't have parrot to compare it too

Since I don't have Parrot, I can't swatch it, but there's a color from Prescriptives called Marine that seems like it'd be almost identical! Check it out...

Has anyone looked also at the similar Clinique colors in some of their quads? I didn't get close to them in person, but online I've seen some bright blues that they have that are kinda new.

SonRisa posted that there is a color that looks almost identical to Parrot in the teal eye pallette that is coming out at Christmas.
