She's Alive!

Hello everyone! Yes, I’m alive & well! My trip to Colorado was a horrible one. I’ll spare you the stupid details & get to the good stuff. My son is here in FL with my husband & I! Basically he’ll attend school here & we’ll fly back up at Christmas break. He’ll meet with the counselor & if she thinks he’s processing everything well, we’ll discuss a permanent parenting plan. I’ll most likely have primary residential custody & my mother will having parenting time. Eventually I’d like to get the jurisdiction for the case moved to FL & petition for sole custody. I’d like for her to not have any legal rights to him. Sounds kind of harsh, but if you knew (& some of you do) the details, you wouldn’t think that. Trust me. Anyway, back to happy stuff! He started 4th grade today! He was sort of nervous, but quickly focused on the positive things. He was excited to make new friends. His school requires uniforms & he looks so adorable!

I’m so excited he’s here! No more worrying about his safety, health, & happiness! I know it won’t all be peaches & cream, but he’s doing so well. I was talking to the husband this morning & saying that getting him here was the hard part. Loving him & taking care of him? There’s nothing difficult about that.

As far as the little one on the way goes…I’m feeling much better. Not so much nausea & the tiredness is ebbing away. I could still use a good nap every down & then, but generally it’s better. The only real issue I have now is constipation. Yay. We had an OB appt. on 8/13 & the Dr. said everything looked good & all systems go. He wouldn’t even look at the u/s pics when we mentioned gender.

According to the Dr. & virtually everything I’ve read online, it’s too early to tell via u/s photos. I’m no medical expert, but that looks like a penis. I’m not telling myself 100% either way, but…it looks like a penis. You take a peek!

And I’m not showing yet either! It’s driving me nuts. Of course in a few months when I’ll probably be referring to myself as Elsie the Cow, I’ll wonder why I ever complained in the first place.

All in all, things are going pretty well! I do still feel pretty un-glamorous though. I keep saying it’s because I’m out of Urban Decay Primer Potion. (I can’t afford any, either

) I’ve tried Vaseline & that doesn’t work for me. I’m spoiled. To me, my shadows look like poop without it. It sucks though, looking & my traincase…sitting there all neglected-like. One of these decades when I can get my grubby little hands on some – I think it shall be on.

Well, that’s all the major stuff for now. I’ve missed all of you very much. Thank you for keeping me & my little family in your thoughts & prayers. I’ve never been a very religious person, but someone had to be looking out for us on this one

I'm happy to hear from you! I missed your FOTDs and I'm glad to know all is well! Your little son looks so adorable in his school outfit. And the little bump in your tummy is just adorable, the baby has the cutest little nose!

You are just adorable, I don't know your story, because I only joined in around June, but you're just adorable. Best wishes and God's favor for your sweet family. Man, fourth grade in FL., he's one lucky cat.

Thank you all so much! I agree, it's about time some good things start happening around DevinWorld, Inc.

I just spoke to my husband who just picked up our son from school. He said he had a good day & there were NO pretty girls in his classroom. Aye! Hehe, he said he had a good day, but he didn't make a friend. I told him to give it time, everyone's new to each other & kids have to get comfortable. I told him to be brave & go up to someone & introduce himself. Aw, but he is brave. I'm so frigging impressed with that boy. What a lucky gal I am!
