Is UD's UV-B similar to...
..MAC's Little Minx released with the Rebelrock collection? What are the differences, if any? I've seen this question put up in some threads but it's never been answered, so I'm singling it out here. I'm hoping it's more pigmented than Little Minx or more duochrome. Thanks!

You know, I've wondered this myself soooo many times, I don't recall getting an answer...I think it might've been different, but don't quote me on that!

No no no, you MUST buy UV-B!!! It's soooo pretty, I adore it. Tried to get it for ages in a swap and now that I have it, I shall never let it go, ha ha ha!!! *evil laugh* It's probably worth getting, Little Minx didn't seem to be feted as the best thing ever, plus UV-B isn't LE!
But yes, let's hope someone else can put this little matter to rest...

*lol* If I was having a bad morning, yoru reply alone would've been a pick-me-up! =D
Well, then, when I get my hands on UV-B I'll be able to provide some answers...in the meantime, anyone else?

I *think* UV-B is alot darker than Little Minx. And bluer, possibly with more obvious duochrome? Little Minx doesn't have any noticable duochrome-- it's just medium greyish bluish purple. But I don't actually have UV-B so I may be wrong about this.

Guys, I hate to break this to you but UV-B has been discontinued by Urban Decay, and so have a lot of their original shades, like cash, spare change, AC/DC... I was lucky to buy mine on ebay UK for about £5 shipped (UD doesn't seem v. popular in the UK, so I'm lucky in that respect!) I only found this out when searching for reviews on MUA
Oh, and in regards to the original question- they are NOTHING alike. UV-B is a lot darker, blue/purple colour, whilst little minx to me is a very very light purple with zero pigmentation. I say get UV-B, there's a counter that still has little minx, I tried to swatch it on my hand and there was no pigment!
Haha I'm such a UD addict :P

Thanks for your comments, cutandrun and Ada (weirded me out a bit cuz my real name's Ada!). Yeah, I got Little Minx and it was a good e/s to get for someone just getting into colours (i.e. it's quite sheer), so now I'm looking for some bolder colours. I didn't know UV-B was d/c's tho! I have seen it on eBay so I'll continue hunting there. I didn't know about AC/DC either, so I'm glad I hung onto that - almost swapped it away!
Actually, would you be able to do a swatch, cutandrun? I've seen it used on MUA but it's w/ Asphyxia (another beautiful colour) and Mystical Mist, so I can't tell exactly what it looks like on. Only if you have time, obviously no obligation!

Nooooo. . .they're completely different! UV-B is much more of a royal blue with a little purple iridescence. Little Minx is a flat violet colour IMO. (MAC describes it as a mauvey-grey.) Both are equally pretty though. UV-B looks like a neon purple glow when you have it on. . .it's my favorite.
I can take a picture of them both side-by-side (and on skin) when I'm back at my house tomorrow afternoon if it'd be helpful!

Ack, that would be awesome! I see a tiny bit of duo-chrome on Little Minx in the pot, but it never transfers to the lid. I love using it w/ Violet Underground, tho...can't wait to use it w/ UV-B on top to make it pop! Purple irridescence...*fanning self*...

BlahWah- unfortunately pretty much all my makeup is at school, and I'm at home now but i see noteventherain has volunteered to do a swatch so that's cool If you like Urban Decay I'd strongly suggest going on ebay and buying all the d/c e/s before it's too late, I've spent way too much money buying them this month, but it's soo worth it! Can't wait for the package to arrive!

Hey there! I put a picture in the swatch gallery for ya. Sorry I couldn't get a good skin swatch (it doesn't show the duocrome UVB has). All of those turned out terrible.
and here's another one from my palette. . .UV-B is the one sitting on top of the palette (bottom, middle) & Little Minx is the one to the right of that. HTH!

Thanks so much for the swatch! I can see why everyone loves it now, and how Little Minx is seen as flat (it was one of my first so it looks great to me =P). Off to get UV-B...
