I once asked at Walgreens if I could bring back a makeup item if it wasn't the right color, and they said yes.

If you're in the US probably will. They have looser exchange policies at drugstores. The worst that can happen is they say no.

You can return at Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid with a receipt. Don't know about any other drugstores, but you probably can.
