This mascara made my lashes look really full, but didn't lengthen enough for me, it's a nice mascara but doesn't pack enough umph. My lashes are long but since I'm blonde you can't notice them with out mascara and usually most mascaras do a pretty good job, this one not so much. It's okay, but I won't be repurchasing.

It didn't hold in my curls =( once i applied it onto my lashes it straighten it out. Made my lashes very clumpy too! It was kindda a waste of money.

I hated this stuff. It made my lashes clump and took several coats to look like I was wearing any mascara. I used it once and threw it away. I wish I'd read these reviews first. :/

it's okay, but not good enough. it bunches my lashes together,but it makes them longer. its weird.i have no use of the primer.

This made my eyelashes extremely clumpy and spiderlike. And not in a good, dramatic way. For a Maybelline mascara, this was very bad.

This mascara was a good "beginner" mascara .
It worked fine for me no white clumps and not very flaky, but I'm sticking to my MAC Zoomlash for just about $3 more . (:

Wow, I'm actually very surprised with the general negative reaction to this. This is my HG drugstore mascara. With the black part alone, my lashes look thicker, longer, and defined. And I love how it doesn't take my curl out, which is saying a lot coz Im Asian and any hint of wateriness in the formula would make my lashes droop back faster than I can blink. It's great for day use, and when I use it with Shiseido's primer, it's just so awesome! I just don't use the white end. That would be the only thing I hate about it. Plus, its waterproof too.

Maybelline XXL *Intense* (an improved version of XXL), is also my HG drugstore mascara. I've tried quite a few different drugstore mascaras and this is the only one that actually *did something* for my lashes. I didn't find it clumpy on my lashes, just lengthening, volumizing & thickening, which is how I like my masacara. It does a great job even without the primer, which I skip most of the time anyway as I prefer the results I get with the mascara alone --though not just for this product, any lash primer. Poor CILS Booster has been sitting at the bottom of my makeup for quite some time...
